The Harvey Milk Terminal 1 Center redevelopment transformed one of San Francisco International Airport's original passenger terminals into a modern, world-class aviation facility designed to enhance passenger experience, improve operational efficiency, and support future airport growth. Delivered in multiple phases, the project included new passenger processing areas, expanded security screening, advanced baggage handling systems, airline support facilities, and sustainable building features while maintaining uninterrupted airport operations.
The redevelopment established a new benchmark for airport design through innovative architecture, energy-efficient building systems, integrated security technology, and seamless passenger circulation. Harvey Milk Terminal 1 serves millions of travelers annually and represents one of the most significant terminal modernization efforts undertaken at SFO.
EPC provided commissioning and activation support for access control systems and operational readiness activities. EPC coordinated integrated systems testing, monitored installation of security and access control systems, managed stakeholder coordination, developed testing procedures and activation documentation, and supported the successful transition from construction to full airport operations.
