The Moscone Center Expansion Project significantly increased San Francisco's convention and meeting capacity, reinforcing the city's position as one of the nation's premier destinations for major conferences and events. Located within the Yerba Buena Gardens district, the expansion added approximately 300,000 square feet of convention space while complementing the surrounding cultural and civic developments, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Center for the Arts.
Designed to blend seamlessly with the existing convention center, the expansion features a striking glass lobby, flexible exhibit and meeting spaces, and architecture that enhances the surrounding urban environment. The project strengthened San Francisco's ability to accommodate national and international conventions while contributing to the continued revitalization of the South of Market neighborhood.
EPC Consultants, through the Moscone Associates joint venture with The Allen Group, provided construction management services for the project, supporting construction coordination, field oversight, quality management, and successful delivery of this landmark civic facility.
