The I-280/I-680/US-101 Interchange Improvements modernized one of Silicon Valley's most heavily traveled freeway systems to improve regional mobility, reduce congestion, and enhance traffic operations. The program addressed increasing transportation demand by upgrading critical interchange connections while maintaining traffic flow through one of Northern California's busiest transportation corridors.
The project included reconstruction of freeway ramps, bridge improvements, roadway widening, retaining structures, drainage facilities, utility relocations, and traffic management systems. These improvements enhanced operational efficiency, increased safety, and supported continued economic growth throughout the San José metropolitan area.
EPC Consultants provided construction management support for the program, assisting with field coordination, contractor interface, quality assurance, schedule monitoring, and project documentation. Working closely with Caltrans and project partners, EPC helped support successful project delivery while maintaining safety, quality, and operational continuity.
