Regional Connector Project
Los Angeles Metro

The LA Metro Regional Connector Project is a 1.9-mile underground light-rail system connecting the Metro Gold Line to the 7th Street/Metro Center Station.  The Project receives partial funding from Measure R, which is a half-cent sales tax increase approved by voters in 2008.  For this project, a direct connection between Azusa and Long Beach and between East Los Angeles and Santa Monica will be constructed and will include the following three new stations: Little Tokyo/Arts District Station (1st St/Central Ave), Historic Broadway Station (2nd St/Broadway) and Grand Ave Arts/Bunker Hill Station (2nd Pl/Hope St).  All stations have been designed to include public art components and provide convenient and safe access.  The Project budget is $1.756 Billion and the forecasted for opening is 2022.

EPC Consultants was instrumental in the construction management of the tunneling operations by providing resident engineering, tunneling inspections and all related tunnel oversight services.
